Bizarre outcome after cortisone injection for Plantar Faciitius

I have suffered for months with PF and eventually went to the GP. He referred me and the outcome was I had to have cortisone injections in my heel.
Well, the injections have done the job on my heel but now I have the most excruciating pain at the base of my big and second toes.
If I stretch my foot pointing my toes, I get a similar pain to PF but on top of my foot by my big toe.
Any ideas what this is or how I can shift it?
TIA

Oh no, sorry to hear that! No experience here but am interested in replies as I’ve had PF since about June and tried loads of stuff(but not injections yet). (For me I have various other issues with gait, pelvis, legs which have led to PF so trying to sort those.)
Hope you sort it soon as it’s agony ☹️

Thanks Bendy! The toe pain is way less inconvenient than PF or the cortisone injections! Suppose you don’t walk on your toes!
I can only put the new pain down the the jabs as it appeared the next day but can’t figure out how or why and wasn’t mentioned to me by the dr....!
Wish you better Bendy 😁

I know a couple of people who have had this injections, though not in the feet.

the pain got worse, and relocated, before it got better. Both said to me they were annoyed the doc hadn't warned them. I think if you google it, you will find it's very much a thing.

hopefully it will be gone soon - my mum really struggled for a couple of days but then was fine.

Thanks Grace, I had the jabs 3 weeks ago. Relocating? Nope no one mentioned that. Thanks

3 weeks ago? Ah, that makes me wonder something else.... I broke my foot once and you know when you have pain, the body compensates and tries to shift weight onto a different place. Could it be that?

it took me a while, after recovery, to understand how to use the whole foot again, if that makes sense.

No, I don’t think it’s that but could be. It’s just in the weirdest place. If anyone stands on my toe, I might deck ‘em! Grin
