How do you KNOW if you are leaking wee?

So since the birth of my twins I have had altered sensation down below. I went to a women's health physio who said no prolapse, just a bit of laxity, understandable after multiple birth, do exercises and it will get better.

So I did, and it did. At 8 mos postpartum I felt almost normal again.

Only now I am 9 mos postpartum and suddenly it's all gone wrong again. The initial symptoms are back like before and I now feel a warm sensation like I might be losing bits of wee. There is a bit of discharge on a pantyliner and no strong smell of wee, but what if I have suddenly started getting incontinence? How would I tell?

Sad

Don't use a liner. You'll soon know if your gusset is damp.

Yes but how do I know it's not just discharge, I guess is the question?

If it's urine it will usually be caused by stress ie a sneeze or cough but if discharge will be more random. I have found an increase in discharge at 8 months PP and wondering if it's my body getting ready for periods again??

Thanks, it is quite random. I have had 2 periods but both super light and just wound down bfing aboit 3w ago so maybe some weirdy hormonal thing?!

I link I am leaking bits of wee without noticing - I wish there was a liner that went a certain colour when in contact with urine. It's hard to know if it's heavy discharge or not sometimes!

It smells of wee. It’s quite a strong smell, you’d know if you were.

JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff · 10/12/2018 22:59

Titsy exactly!

Ohyes that is what I keep trying to tell myself but I don't have a great sense of smell .....

It's all very well not using a liner - the gynae physio tells you not to - but if that means clean trousers once or twice a day it's not practical.

Erm you'd know. You would see a patch of wetness on your pants and feel the leak happening moat likely too. So hopefully not what you're experiencing.
