Sebaceous Cysts

About 18 months ago I had sebaceous cyst removed on my head, right where my middle part in goes.
It was about the size of a malteaser when they took it out and it was bloody painful😣
I've noticed I've got two more on my head quite close to where I had my other removed.

I've been to the breast clinic twice at the hospital as well because of lumps I've found around my breasts but turned out to be yet another cyst.
I've also noticed a lump on my neck that comes and goes.

I mentioned it to my mum and she said if you get cysts you're generally prone to them and they will come and go.
My mum isn't one to make a fuss about anything.

I don't want to keep going to the doctors about them and them been nothing because I feel like I'm wasting their time but then again I wonder why I keep getting them?

Does anyone else or has anyone else ever experienced this or have the same issue?

Sorry for the long post as well!

I've always been prone to cysts on my face and neck, one was like a unicorn horn!

This year, for the first time, I had a lump in my breast, (I'm 43)had a mammogram, scan and biopsy and it was cysts.

I was told it's nothing to worry about by the breast clinic and to just keep checking my breasts regularly.

I've been told by my GP I'm prone, although when I cut out dairy, they don't appear so often.

So I guess some of us are more likely to get them.

@finnmcool ah okay! I thought my mum was just saying it to shut me up 😂

I don't know whether to get the two new ones removed off my head or not this time. It was bloody painful afterwards 😣

I would have thought the same 😁

I tend to let my cysts dissipate in their own time, it usually takes a couple of weeks for them to completely go.

This is going to sound nuts; my aunt put a bread poultice on my unicorn horn and it did go down quicker than usual!
Could be a coincidence, but if I get a bad one, I do whack hot, soggy bread on it... and I wonder why I'm single 😁

@finnmcool haha I've never heard of that before! I had the one on my head for about 6 years and never bothered me but my boyfriend used to stroke my head and play with my hair and he said to me that he didn't want to do it again because of this lump and he felt it was getting bigger so decided to get it removed.

The two I've got at the moment have probably been there this year.. I'll just keep my eye on them and see if they get bigger x

My aunt is probably on the wind up! 😂

That sounds like a plan, no need to put yourself through a painful procedure if they're not growing or problematic 😊

Try a hot flannel, really hot it you can stand it, the stuff inside melts and is reabsorbed.

Mummy, that sounds better than soggy hovis 😁

@mummmy2017 oh thank you! Yeah I might give it a go

Bread poltice really works. I used it for an infected finger once.
