Recommend me a trainer for plantar

Got the dreaded PF.

I walk 4 miles everyday and I am struggling with this in my current trainers - I have a couple of pairs of Skechers- both with air cooled memory foam. I think they are too soft. Pain has been fine over the last few days but I was wearing mini hiking boots, but when I reverted back to a pair of trainers today, my foot became sore and back to the hobbling when I get up out of a chair etc. So, as much as they are comfy for normal walking when my foot is fine, they are exacerbating PF when I have it.

So, any recommendations for trainers (Max 100 quid, but the less the better.) I am open to another pair of Skechers but not with memory foam.

All I can suggest is buy arch insoles, on ebay.
I have lots of different ones, full length, 3/4, and have to put them in every boot or trainer.
I can only wear leather trainers, for support and I take the insoles into shops to try them on.

It's very tricky, as the arch supports lift your foot higher in the trainers, so sizing can be tricky.
Try to find something with a good heel grip area. Nothing shallow.

I favour adidas, old type styles.

If you have a specialised sport shop near you they can measure your feet properly and your gait. Worth a go!

Thesun - do you recommend any particular brand of insoles? I have been on ebay, when you put in high arch insoles it brings up loads of varying price points.

DH found that Salomon are the only brand he can wear since getting PF. He doesn’t need any kind of insole in them.

I live in Sketchers GoWalk4 Elites. My planter has pretty much gone (and I walk about 6 miles a day).

My two big problems are they’re not waterproof and they’ve discontinued them. They do others, but not these. I’m gutted.

I used to love my ASIC’s but they’re different now too and still not a patch on my sketchers for plantar.

Vionics are the best (pricey but worth it)

Merrill walking trainers worked for me

I've bought so many, I think one has pro in the title, I've found that it's a matter of trying lots.
I have a selection.
I've also discovered an elasticated foot support on ebay for a few quid, with a padded bit for the arch.
Helps when I need relief after say, walking in town on flat surfaces.
I wear them indoors.

I second going to a specialist running shop to get your gait analysed and fitted properly. I got some from which were £70. They are New Balance.

Crocs round the house were a massive help.

@Daisymay2 completely agree
