Low blood pressure?

I am at home (day off work) kind of chilled. I started feeling jittery/shaky. I've had this a few times before. As I was home I did my blood pressure. It's been fairly low recently (past year) when I do it every so often, (just above cut off lines I think). Today it is 107/57.
I realise the top number is probably most important and that seems OK but what about diastolic? Is it significant or not really?
(I'd been around doing washing ect beforehand so not resting for a long time before.

This is about what my BP is which combined with low heart rate led me to see a cardiologist. All normal just have low BP and HR so need to be careful as indeed I do suffer from lightheadness and diziness. His recommendation which has helped was to stop all caffeine and increase water.

Thanks swing. Yes, heart rate is usually quite low too.

Grrr, BP 94/53, RHR 50 this morning and feeling very lightheaded and indeed SHAKY. Heart rate went to 42cin the night. I had a 5 day heart rate monitor last August that indeed confirmed the fitbit readings but the cardiologist said that this wasn't constant, only for a few minutes and wslasnt concerned as ecg and ultrasound came back normal. In my case, it is due to fluctuating hormones due to menopause (or so I believe).

It is hard to live with when I never know how ill feel and I have to go to work early but at least I'm not worried any longer and as the cardiologist said, it actually is a sign of a very healthy heart as he sees people with the extreme opposite problem who are very ill. It put things into perspective!

Wow thats low. Hope you feel better soon. After ranting at the kids last night mine shot up to 130. Grin
Which fitbit dp you have? Does it give a pattern of readings?

Ooh swing are you me?! I'm due to have a 24 HR heart monitor fitted this week because of palpitations (probably ectopics) combined with low RHR (45-50) and o also generally have low blood pressure.
I'm often tired. And light headed.
Incidentally I have upped my salt intake which has helped a bit.

My heart rate dips to 35-39 at night according to my Fitbit. And I'm no athlete

@gosteadyEddie, I've got the fitbit alta. Had it for 18 months now so can get a clear picture. The diziness/lightheadness etc... hits me worse when it drops suddenly over a few days. It is usually around 53, will go up to 58ish and then within 2 or 3 days drop to 51/50. That's when I feel awful, faint, my sight is blury, my balance is all over the place and I really struggle to concentrate.

The cardiologist said that it's no how low it goes but how long it stays low (it can be picked up by the fitbit for only a few seconds) but more importantly if it causes symptoms.

I feel much worse in the mornings, usually stsrt to feel better mid-afternoon. Drinking more during the day and in the evening seems to have helped but it still there and I totally dread these drops.

On its own that is on the lower side but wouldn't be considered low. I have mine taken minimally once a month and my normal is 100/60 and that's not classed as low. When I've been poorly it's been much lower.
