WART - how do I get rid of??

Have had a wart on my toe for about 4 years and it is just getting bigger and bigger. It started off like a pinhead but now is about 10 times bigger.

Have tried Bazuka and Salactol but had an allergic reaction to both which made my toe very red and exceptionally itchy.

Saw GP who was useless and said that I should try pumice stoning it in the bath until it bleeds.

Have done this and it now looks worse than ever!!!

Have got an appt to have it frozen off at the GP in a month's time but is there anything I can do in the meantime? I want to wear pretty sandals that show my feet off!!!!!!!!!!

I frozen my own with stuff from Boots,

Scholl Freeze Verruca and Wart Remover £11.89

Hope that helps, it was easy to do and worked in 3 weeks, they say it will fall off after 10-14 days, hmmm, mine didn't - no surprise to me so each week on day 1 i would gentle filed it then froze it and then after 3 days filed it gently each day until day 6 when i repeated it all again.

Not a sign of it now.

Hope that helps you.

Did it hurt?

Had mine forzen too - no it didn't hurt. Pumice stones do work but I think rubbing it until it bleeds is a bit extreme. You are supposed to rub it little and often to get your body to recognise it is there adn then get rid. It works but it takes a while. Freezing will work much more quickly!

When it is frozen what happens to it??? My appt with the GP is the day before my BFs wedding and I have open strappy shoes for the wedding. The wart is on the second toe of my right foot near the nail.

It goes white I think, nothing awful!

Felt cold on application but didn't hurt, the wart goes white and if you file it gently it won't be too noticable, you can always apply a little foundation to it to blend it in.

The Doctor told my dp to buy the following:

Thuja Occ 30c these are hebal pellets and come in a click pack, and Tea Tree Oil 100%.

They worked for him, within a few weeks you could see them going.
