Crown has come out while eating. Would my dentist be able to put it back in?

I only had the crown fitted this afternoon.

I’ve put it to one side, so if I ring my dentist tomorrow, would he be able to refit it, or would I have go through the whole process again?

You should be able to have it refitted but I'd be quite concerned it has come out so quickly!
Is the inside of the crown empty?

There are a couple of possibilities, one is that the crown has just come off - I think I had one come loose after only a short time once, in which case it will be straightforward for the dentist to refit. Another less pleasant possibility is that the tooth it was fitted on has broken, which may or may not be soluble (sometimes they can put a "post" in to reattach).

Good luck tomorrow.

@BlueUggs, no, the cement is still there.

He did say that in between creating the mould and fitting it, my tooth had moved. He had to do a bit of work to it before putting it in.
Thanks for the good luck @GrasswillneGreener, I hate going to the dentist as it is.

Not that I know many people who love the experience....
