Found a lump last night

Hi, I don't know what to do, found a lump in my breast last night but I was day 1 period so it could just be that? It's hard and behind the top of my nipple, still there this morning. Asked my husband to feel it but he wouldn't, said to get doctor to look at it. Should I just see if it's still there after my period has finished? I'm mid 40s and think staring hormonal changes, maybe perimenopausal so I gues it could be tied up with that. Don't want to waste anyone's time

Hi, letter came in yesterday, appointment is 2 weeks today, so that'll be 3 weeks from seeing theGP. Hoping the fact it's not any earlier is a sign that the GP wasn't too worried?

@minisoksmakehardwork thanks for checking in! Yes I did thanks, and it was a cyst! Drained under US and doctor thinks it's ftbrocystic Brest disease. I've been getting lots of perimenopausal symptoms and have to go to gp next week to review my bloods for that...so I think it's all tied into changes with ageing 😩 Not that old (or so I thought 😆😂) only 45.

How are you? Did the thickening you felt settle down? X
