Thyroid issue? Peri menopause?

Earlier this year I went to the Drs as I started to have periods every two weeks. Had a smear and a biopsy and all clear. Thought it was stress related. It all settled down so agreed probably stress related

But my hormones have been all over the place the lasts couple of months. Particularly bad this week and last. And now I have a period again. Heavy and sore, just two weeks after my last heavy period. I'm so emotional and can't stop crying, I think I need anti depressants. I'm also just exhausted all the time, no matter how well I sleep, it's like I've been completely drained.

I have a gp appointment on thurs, but need to figure out how to word it and what I want them to test...I know I'll just start to cry so want to be clear in my head so I can get as much put as possible before breaking down haha!

Apart from a thyroid issue or perimeanopause (I'm 31), is there anything else I should ask to check?

Thanks for reading all the way through!

Periods every 2 weeks have probably caused anaemia, which will cause exhaustion, so I would ask for a blood test.

Thank you, I hadn't thought of that actually, will make a note

Would feeling dizzy and faint be part of being anemic?

Yes it could be. Feeling breathless after going up stairs etc also common.

Vitamin D & B12/folate also worth requesting for exhaustion, depression & emotional problems. Write a list so you don’t forget them all.
