Is this a problem do you think? He did it a week ago and I would have expected it to go straight through to the other end, but I haven't come across anything yet. Of course, I may have missed it, but I am a bit worried it might have lodged somewhere. That isn't possible is it? I am just panicking, right?

Does no-one else consider this a worry? It was bigger than a small piece of lego.

I wouldnt worry. You've probably missed it coming out.

This happened to my ds1 a few years ago and I worried myself sick. However, I rang nhs direct who reassured me that it would probably go straight through which it must have done as I'v never seen it since and he's ow a strapping six year old. If he has any weird symptoms though, that's the time to worry - if not I'd assume all was well.

My ds1 used to do this all the time. He loved cherries but would swallow the stone and spit out the flesh! He didn't come to any harm, not even tummy ache. Hth.

My parents used to have a cherry tree in the garden and we ate cherries all the time. Loads of the stones must have gone down and , even though someone at school told me that a cherry tree would grow in my tummy () it never did and we were all fine

Why Barbie shoes? DD's Barbie shoes are low heeled and flexible plastic. Are they usually harder and pointy?

DD swallowed an (uninflated) party balloon when she was about 7 mths old. The only way I knew she'd done it was when I found it in her nappy - it had definitely gone all the way through....

DSs were in big trouble for that one, but at least now I know if that that get through pretty much anything else can as well
