I just don't feel "well". Do I keep bothering GP

I had lot of abdominal pain over the summer and have had scans of liver, kidneys and gallbladder, as well as a raft of blood tests. All clear

The pain has gone but I still don't feel well, not desperately ill, just not well. Tired, constantly thirsty, generally low mood, disturbed sleep (v unusual for me)

I eat well and exercise regularly, normal weight, 48yo, no sign of menopause yet, no particular stresses or worries, apart from a nagging concern that something's not right.

I'm not a regular at GP, in fact when I went in the summer they remarked that they rarely see me. I don't want to become a nuisance (at least in part because I feel like they take me more seriously because I don't go often) and they've done loads of tests already. Should I go back or is this just something to accept/learn to live with?

Sorry it say but this does sound like menopause or pre meno symptoms. I felt like this for 2 years before my periods stopped at 51. I'm now on hrt and feel a gazillion times better.

you sound like I was before the menopause started (I am 47 and in full meno for over a year now). Have they done hormone tests yet? Maybe ask them to do these and see where you are are after that, you could also ask for a low dose anti depressant too - I take a low dose citalopram plus my HRT which has made me feel a huge amount better - I do also take vitamin D3 & a B12 supplement to help with the fatigue.

Ultimately though you go with your gut (excuse the pun) instinct - if you don't feel right then you have to go back - try & write a list of symptoms to show them as I know whenever I go I always forget to mention something

Definitely go back. Trust your instincts.

I have this too, (the underlying feeling that something is not quite right), along with some of the other symptoms you mention. I've also woken up the last two mornings drenched in sweat, felt anxious and breathless and occasionally dizzy. I'm 44, and I think it may be the peri menopause . Just need to find time to get to the GP.

I've been feeling like that for quite a while now. All blood tests came back fine but I just can't quite pinpoint what the feeling not quite right is. Past the menopause so can't be that unless we put it down to anxiety and depression.

I had similar over the summer - I’m just 40....had blood tests, ultrasounds and an mri....apparently there’s nothing wrong with me which is obviously great but... by late afternoon I’m still utterly knackered, also intermittently getting upper abdominal pains and what feels like classic period cramping..... Peri menopause seems the most likely suspect though I think I’m too young🤣🤣

Ask about a Vit D deficiency.... I had numerous tests for what two doctors thought was hormones/peri menopause and it took a third doctor to test my Vit D levels... found to be low, prescribed 8 weeks of supplements... I was amazed how much better I felt. The symptoms are v similar.
