Natural endometriosis cures

Hey everyone.

I had major excision over 3 months ago.

I’m putting a lot of time and energy into changing my lifestyle to try and combat this long term. Im doing LOTS of exercise to try and reduce estrogen in body.

I’m taking turmeric and ginger supplements.

I’m gluten free, don’t drink alcohol or caffeine. I also eat as much vegan produce as possible.

Anyone else have any tips on how they kept their endometriosis under control naturally?

Thanks x

Hysterectomy.

No natural remedy kept mine at bay. It has a will of its own.
I doubt turmeric and ginger are going to make much of a dent.
Sorry to be a Debbie downer but it is insidious, evil, destructive bastard of a condition that defied all my attempts to keep an upper hand it perhaps that was just me.
Cut out dairy be sure if added hormones bit that's all I can offer.

What Lola said. If it were as simple as diet and lifestyle, the NHS could save themselves a tonne of cash.

No help with the actual endo, but I have found lavender oil really helpful with the pain (a couple of drops in a carrier oil massaged onto the abdomen when I start to feel cramps).

I don't know how it works, I don't care, I'm just happy it does - used to be that full ibruprofen/paracetamol does didn't even touch the sides and now I very rarely take any painkillers for my endo at all.

I’d hesitate to call it a ‘cure’, but personally for me, practicing a few specific restorative yoga postures in the run up to periods seemed to make a big difference.
Specifically, the two postures mentioned in the link below: supta baddha konasana (lie on back with legs open & soles of feet together and really focus on breathing deep and slow into belly, and release ALL the muscles around the pelvis, front, back, pelvic floor - takes a lot of concentration! For a good ten minutes or so)
AND shoulder stand a couple of times a day in the run up to your period, provided you don’t have any neck problems. You can do it up against a wall.
I also used a lot of yogic breathing techniques when in severe sudden pain, to help distract me.

Worth a go!

Yoga did used to help me, but now it's worsened and I have a 4 year old it's all I can do to drag myself out of bed some days
Eating healthily seems to prolong the time between flare ups too.
Unfortunately I've had a really stressful few weeks at work and have not been eating properly, stress definitely brings on a flare up for me.
I'd say anything that combats stress plus healthy diet could help, but not cure sorry

Endometriosis is a symptom of too much inflammation in the body. Anything that will lower inflammation will help. There isn't a single fix though. You have to do your research. Diet, exercise and management of stress is a good start. The book 'endometriosis for dummies' is good.
