TB vaccination not given - should I be concerned?

I received a letter from my ds's school saying that the vaccination for TB was not now being routinely given. We were given a checklist of high risk circumstances and we do not fall into any of the categories.

Hovever, as a parent who has always supported vaccination as a general policy, should I be concerned about this? What if ds does visit a high risk area later in life, or we do come into contact with a TB sufferer unwittingly?

Am I worrying irrationally and if not, is there anything I can do about it?

agree, tb is very difficult to catch need quite a lot of the bacteria to become infected and also to be vulnerable (malnourished, other infections, overcrowding, lack of light) so only given to high risk groups
Vaccine isn't that effective - general public health measures better - housing and nutrition
