Pelvic floor exercisers? Help!

Does anyone have any experience of digital type ones? I’ve had bladder problems since my teens (caused by medication side effects that made me urinate constantly), and now use the loo roughly every 1.5 hrs. Now my orgasms have gone to shit too and I’m sick of it, I’m only 30. About to TTC and I know it will only get worse.

Just exercising with nothing doesn’t help, the science backs this up - no point clenching your arm constantly, you need a weight to build muscle. I’ve tried a wand/dildo type thing with springs in but really didn’t get on with it. I’ve looked at a few of the egg things, one that connect to an app (??) or vibrate to track what you’re doing. I’m open to trying anything but some are reallt expensive and I can’t lay out £150 for the fun of it if they don’t work.

Would be really grateful for any help.

Have you seen a specialist women's physiotherapist who deals in pelvic floor issues? That might be a great help to you.
They will show you how to do the exercises properly, then monitor your progress. They also check for muscle damage etc.

I haven’t but think I do need to go back to the doctor. It’s been a bit disjointed over the years as it was chalked up to a side effect of a medicine i was on, but now 7ish years after coming off it it’s clear to me there’s real damage there. I think because I’m not incontinent - though probably not too far off now - and I’m so used to just living on the loo, it hasn’t been of super high priority. But I think it is now.

OP - just to say that you don't immediately need to go hanging weights of your pelvic floor to improve it.
Please go and see a woman's health physio who will do a thorough assessment and prescribe the appropriate exercises. Using "add-ons" can mean that you are moving the muscles incorrectly / strengthening one side more than the other, or adding strain to muscles that are already overburdened and too weak to tolerate it.

Thanks. I will make a GP appointment to discuss it.
