Should I book a GP appointment in the morning or not? DM is panicking about sepsis 🤷‍♀️

Draw a bit line round the redness. If it extends past rhe line in the morning draw another then phone the gp.

I've had cellulitis twice. Looks similar

Thank you playmobil 😊 Think I will go, I think it's a mosquito bite as I get a similar reaction every time (although not normally quite as big!!).

Have you been taking antihistamines? glad it's easing down.

415wakeup · 11/10/2018 09:25

I was taking fexofenadine earlier in the week when I first got the bite as the itching was driving me up the wall. Itching is a lot better now though so haven't taken it today.

Ok, I went to the gp in the end as started to feel dizzy and hot. She says it's infected and has prescribed antibiotics. I just can't get my head around the timings 🙈 I need to take 4 times a day and when stomach is empty, so 1 hour before food or 2 hours after food... when am I supposed to eat?! 😂

8am, 1pm, 6pm & 11pm. ;-)

415wakeup · 11/10/2018 14:14

Thank you, but apart from the 11pm one, they are literally the times that I eat with very little room for movement due to kids, school, work, activities etc 🙈

I was told to space antibiotics out evenly over 24 hrs and to set an alarm to wake me up at night.
So 7am, 1pm, 7pm, 1am.

6hr gaps basically

Hi, I had similar a few. months ago (see pic). I just used an ice pack, antihistamine and ibuprofen. It got worse before it got better but went in the end. I went to two different pharmacies who said I I didn't needs a gp unless I "felt" unwell or had a temperature.

Hope that helps.

Tanfastic · 11/10/2018 16:32

It won't seem to let me upload a pic.

415wakeup · 11/10/2018 23:10

Thank you Tan, that was my plan too, but I started to feel hot and dizzy this morning so that's why I went. Got antibiotics now Smile
