there is no rabies in mainland uk afaik.

I am sure you are safe from rabies.

Have you had a tetanus shot recently? if not, you should get a booster.... other than that, just keep it clean and sterile and keep an eye on it.

I have been bitten and scratched by cats more than a few times and never had a problem.

I'm sure that you'll get loads of replies saying what "could" happen, but chances are it won't so try not to worry too much.

Cat bites can get infected commonly. BADLY. Even when they look clean.

Get to a doc and have it checked out. My ex h's SIL is a vet and said cat bites are just bad and infect frequently.

yorkie, it would be worth popping down to your clinic or treatment room. Cat bites do often get infected and this doesnt tend to present itself for a few days as the wound tends to close itself and seal in any bacteria. In the mean time keep the area clean and dont cover it. Watch out for any inflammation or if DD complains of it hurting more. The reason cat bites are like this is because of their minging teeth!
