Have googled the obvious stuff but don't know if I am looking for symptoms now.

I have had headaches (but do normally)
I have been tired and snotty and sore eyes (but put it down to hayfever and dd2 not sleeping)
I am covered in a rash and have a swollen arm (big red scaly patch on my right one)

BUT I don't remember getting a tick

This started about a month ago and went and then came back but is much worse this time.

and again

you probably wouldn't have noticed the tick - they do bite and then drop off by themselves.

have they taken blood to send away for testing?

MrsWho · 13/06/2007 19:42

No , they said the test isn't that clear.antibodies show up without disease and the disease can be there and no antibodies

Also I just had blood taken last week and it took about 1/2 an hour to get any out so I'm not tempted to push for something vague Especially as they are treating it as if it is anyway.

Was just checking if they'd taken an 'acute' sample as iirc the best test relies on getting a 'convalescent' one while you're recovering so they can compare the two.

I'd run with it at the moment and tbh be pleased the doc has thought of it - lots of people with Lyme have real trouble getting a diagnosis and are ill for ages and ages before anyone thinks of it.

I wasn't going to at all but everyone nagged me I thought it was allergic reaction to something and it would go away again
