Hi. I'm 42 and currently suffering really badly with reflux. I've tried over the counter and prescribed meds abd nothing is helping. I am not eating after 5:00 pm, raising the head of the bed and no alcohol, choc, tomatoes, onions, caffiene. In still not improving. I think mine is definitely hormone or stress related. I'm underweight so can't improve that area and taking daily exercise. Will watch this space for any more tips

You need to go to the Drs and get some tablets. I used to get it really badly and have been prescribed a PPI. That's helped.
Also I've found not eating any pastry ever and not drinking fizzy pop has helped. I never have fatty food anyway so it wasn't that.

Don’t ignore this. Go to your doctor.

Mine turned out to be a huge hiatus hernia and I was not far off developing Barrats oesophagus due to the damage from acid.

I ended up having surgery which stopped it.

Obviously there may be other reasons but it can be quite damaging to ignore long term reflux.
