Good morning everyone,

Welcome to the new thread, and the club that nobody wants to join. Our previous thread is here.

Anyone with any type of cancer is welcome. And we will hold your hand if you're waiting to find out whether or not you have cancer at all.

If you've got a loved one with cancer then you can get support here.

Please feel free to reintroduce yourself so we don't all have to remember from the previous thread!

Woah what a tough decision. How often will you get the scans? Is there any way you can have them more often for peace of mind if nothing else?

Namechangeforthiscancershit · 03/11/2018 11:35

woah that is really interesting- I had a benign tumour as a child which was removed and the fact that it was described as benign always confused me as I was seen by oncology back then.

What a decision for you. How will they monitor you?

Ginisatonic · 03/11/2018 11:37

Woah that is a really tough situation to be in. Hugs and Flowers

As it's getting close to the end of this thread and Leslies still poorly I've started a new one here

How are you feeling Leslie? I hope you're at least home in your own bed by now 💐

Whoops! Sorry Purple I should have said I had a FB chat with Leslie yesterday and I've set up a new thread whilst she's recovering. You can find it here

Leslie is doing OK - she'll be on here soon to tell you herself Smile

Apologies for not addressing anybody's posts- this darn thread keeps crashing on me!

I'm having a bit of a weird moment, I don't know if anyone can relate to it, but how the hell can I possibly have incurable cancer?! I feel FINE. Totally normal. My back isn't even hurting today. I'm just having real trouble processing this at the moment.

I presume my relative lack of pain means the radiotherapy has done something positive. So what now? Will I be well for ages? Will it get me in the end? When?

emac80 · 23/11/2018 19:55

Unfortunately joining this thread too. Diagnosed with grade 3 triple negative breast cancer with lymph node spread in April this year. My second son was born prematurely and was only 2 months old when i was diagnosed. have been through chemo for 5 months with a 3yr old and a new baby, surgery and then returned to work before starting radiotherapy this month. Its only now that i think- how on earth did i get through all of that?! Having a toddler and newborn is tough enough not to mention the awful side effects of chemo, but i guess as a mum you just keep normality going and thats what we did. We have no family local so its just been me and hubby :(. Trips to soft play, the farm park, running around the parks and feeding the ducks- im grateful my children keep me grounded. Radiotherapy is much kinder so far compared to chemo aside from the sunburn and fatigue. Im sorry if other people find themselves in a similar position, but it is possible to get through this. xxx
