I’m sick of joint pains what can I ask my GP for tomorrow?

She won’t refer me to endo because my thyroid level is 2.5 on 125mcg of thyroxine. I’m tempted to put myself up to 150mcg. I literally dread getting out of bed in a morning. The pain is in my hips, feet and thighs. I’m taking every vitamin there is and have just ordered CBD. My blood is negative for arthritis and a colonoscopy said I haven’t got celiacs,

I had a hysterectomy a few months ago and have started estrogen tablets 1mg three weeks ago should I notice a difference by now? Should I ask to go up to 2?

I do yoga x3 a week but cant kneel down anymore as my feet won’t go back.

I’m due back off sick next week standing for 12 hours and I’m dreading it. Any suggestions when I see the gp? I’m at the end of my tether.

I mentioned the TSH on the phone and again he said its fine. Ive put my Thyroxine up by 25mcgs myself.

I’m just looking at the blood form and it doesn’t look thyroid related it says Creatine Kinase

I know you've only just had your hysterectomy, but I had one three years ago and my joints have become so painful thus last year. I'm convinced it's because of my hysterectomy.

When I told my gp on Monday, he said to take vit D because of the osteoporosis risk after a hysterectomy. I'm in hrt patches.

My point is, you having a recent hysterectomy isn't going to help your joints down the line, so you really do need to try and get to the root of this now.

I'm 47 but feel like a little old lady just lately.

Good luck op.

This started a year ago that’s when they found out about my thyroid.

My hysterectomy was June and it’s not helped at all but it was already happening, I’m six weeks into hrt but I don’t kniw how long it takes to kick in. I take vit D 3000 although it’s not good for kidneys, I take turmeric and B12 too, Ive just managed to run for three minutes which is an achievement for me but every step was an effort. I really think Monday’s appointment is my last chance and I can see myself being put on strong painkillers.

Don't run, if you are feeling this poorly - just don't. Gentle, slow exercise at best.

Please have a look at the websites I gave links to further up - www.tpauk.com and www.thyroiduk.org/

Your thyroid issues are not being properly addressed.

I feel it’s my last chance today to put my point across. I look well this is the problem. I’m back at work tomorrow they’ve said an early for two weeks. That’s 7 1/2 hours I’m sure others have got 6.

That was a waste of time she’s told me to come off the statins, eat better and go back in a month, I had this pain before I even started statins it’s beem a year now. I might have to change gp. Is it worth doing thyroid bloods privately?

It's hard for us to try to guess what the problem is, especially if even your gp doesnt know. I get chronic pain as well, but all over, and I was diagnosed with polymialgia rheumatica and put on steroids which helps a bit. However, I see that cannabis oil is being legalised for medical use as pain relief. I'm going to speak to my go - worth a thought, maybe?

Ive started that recently. I just wanted a referral really. You know how you can rotate your wrists? I can’t do that with my ankles at all I get halfway round. I don’t know if I should just push myself to make them rotate or if this would damage them? I shall have to try some kind of diet I think. She said brufen is enough. The only time I’ve been painfree was when I was on the morphine drip in hospital. Sounds like I need to suck it up and sort it through diet and exercise.

Hi,

Was your calcium level normal ? I assume you had that done at some point , with you having bone and joint problems . Although it is not on the pic you posted. Just a thought.

A few things to note: statins reduce CoQ10 levels in the body which may cause additional symptoms. You may want to speak with your doctor about CoQ10.
And, yes, for the thyroid, a full panel with free T3 testing is often better to get the full picture. Vitamin D can be dosed by your doctor or a dietitian depending on lab test results of vitamin D. Magnesium is often needed along with vitamin D for better balance and absorption.
