Lupus anticoagulant blood test results

My dd had a blood test recently, lots of tubes, and one of the tests was for anticoagulants. She hasn't heard from the dr who requested these test, but has had another blood test request form asking to have the LA done again as the results were positive.
I have asked her to phone the dr, but I wondered if anyone had any ifeas abou this. Is it likely the bloods have come back as inconclusive so need retesting, or on the border also requiring retest?
She does have a chronic pain condition and as far as we and she know, doesn't have anything else.

It's come back positive not inconclusive so they need to retest to see if it's a genuine positive. It's common for two do be done with this particular test as some are positive with no problems, but 2 in a row, or more than one would indicate a problem.

What chronic pain condition does she have?

She got the letter today that was meant to come before the blood test form.

It seems she has something in her blood which when she gets cold, goes solid and blocks up the small blood vessels. She may need to take an anticoagulant ie low dose asprin. It also says there is something they want to check further with regards to her lupus anticoagulants, hence the further blood test.

She has CRPS.

Is the CRPS from an injury or another cause? Are you thinking that there is more to it, than just the pain condition?

The CRPS is from an injury about 10 years ago. As she has very reduced movement she gets cold extremities which was why she had the blood tests as her toes were going purple.

Does she have cold agglutinin disease? That's often associated with lupus so may be why she's been tested for it. My understanding is that CAD may improve if the underlying cause (eg lupus) is treated.

Maybe post on the autoimmune board. They may be able to help better.
