Don't worry, I'm not easily scared ... and I don't get the subtleties of the English language anyway... thank you all for talking to me, I needed advise, as I wasn't sure whether it was ok for it to be so painful after a few days or not... I'll ring the dentist tomorrow, let you know how it goes!

Hi all, it is indeed a b* dry socket... gauze with antiseptic now in place (the had to take the stitches out first, but actually it wasn't as bad as I was thinking... though at first I told the dentist not to worry if I fainted... )

not really... I'm feeling pretty miserable about it all. I'm really hungry now, but don't dare to eat! (also have a terrible taste in my mouth).
How are things in sunny california? did I tell you that we even went to Berkeley?
