Wasn't sure where to post this, but here goes.

I have really bad scarring on my legs from a weirdy skin condition while I was pregnant. Got it through each of three pregnancies, so combined with thread and varicose veins, my legs look like they belong on an eighty year old woman. I use fake tan, but it doesnt really conceal anything and so I've started looking into cover up make up and really wouldn't know where to start. Any advice or recomendations please?

years ago when I was in the redcross we occationally had talks from their specialist make up consulants their results where amazing. I,m not sure if the scheme still exsists but they used to offer free consultation and special make up.

I have used Dermablend in the past to cover bad scarring on my arms.
At the time I used the cream to cover and set it with the powder to make it waterproof.
I was helped by The British Red Cross who helped teach me how to apply it and what shade I needed.
Hope that helps a bit

If you contact the Red Cross they do camouflage makeup. They organised an appointment at my local clinic and I had about an hour with the lady, she tried all different makes and colours of concealers and we found a perfect match to cover my birthmrk. She showedme pictures of different birthmarks and scars and you couldn't see them once they'd been covered. You then get what you need written on a prescription and it's ordered through your GP and it takes about a week to arive, hope this helps,

oh can I ask, is the makeup very waterproof? I'm thinking of when we go on holiday, I'd really love to be able to cover up my legs for swimming.

It is pretty good at being waterproof, you should be able to swim and bathe with it on and it does stay on quite well. You put translucent powder over it when its dried and this sort of seals it.I am so glad I found out about it as it's helped me mentaly to live with my birthmark [ it's next to my right eye] and it stops the usual insensitive comments from blokes saying 'has he hit you love, lol' pratts. The makers are called Veil.

You can actually get some on scrip from your GP, I think in conjunction with the Red Cross.

Perhaps once you've been to Red Cross to be shown and colour matched you can get it from GP? Sorry it was ages ago.
