Have I got a problem?

Ok......
I’m 28, not overweight but I’m a bit concerned about my eating habits...
The good points, I have porridge with almond milk and blueberries for brekkie. I only drink herbal tea, no caffeine or anything.
But I’m worried I’m a bit obsessed with food, like I think about it all the time and I could eat all the time. Last night I had a homemade bolognaise and after it I was still hungry so had a few nachos.
Basically I’m asking.... is everyone out there now clean, green eaters or am I normal!?

You sound like you have a problem and are crying out for help. Are you very controlled in your eating? Is that why you always think about it?

Oh btw I am not a clean and green eater, I was once and had a problem, I was obsessed with food because I hardly ever ate it!

I don’t know if it’s normal or not but me and all my friends are like this. Our lives revolve around food and what / when we will next eat. We all laugh about it. BlushGrin

I'm a healthy weight but food is on my mind all the time and yes some times I have excesses. The key is not to be perfect but balanced and to figure out what works for you. In my case I know that the more I eat the hungrier I think I am and the more I eat so what works for is to to stick to one large healthy meal a day and then have a few healthy snacks in between. My blood sugar is good so no issues. I've learned that drinking a lot of water helps too.

I exercise a lot too. Exercice alone even intensively doesn't make me lose weight but it will help keep it the same when I increase my food intake for instance on holidays.

And importantly enjoy your food when you allow yourself some indulgence rather then let guilt consume you. If you put on weight then you know you need to make some adjustment so work out what it is without going on a strict diet. It might be that a small reduction in meal size is enough.

It really is possible to maintain a healthy weight while still eating a bit of everything including pasta, bread and biscuit. It's all about moderation yet enjoyment.

Obsessive personalities tend to be obsessive about anything, is that you?
