Ok so many years ago I was told from a scan I had gallstones but they didn't bother me I now have what I believe to be very affected gallstones when I eat fatty food I get a lot of pain apple cider vinegar helps me... the thing is my dad passed away 6 months to pancreatic cancer & is freaking out!!!!! Can someone reassure me that if this wasn't gallstones the apple cider vinegar wouldn't help?
I'm sooo worried, to scared to go to doctors x

Sorry to hear about your dad OP. I know you don't want to hear this but you really really need to see a doctor. Left untreated, you could make the issue worse than it is.

I suffered from gallstones(which caused chronic pain for a year, and ACV didnt help) and subsequently had the gallbladder taken out. It was the best thing that I did. Don't suffer in silence!

Do you think that because ACV does help it's got to be gallstones?
It's horrible as I feel if it's anything sinister I'd prefer not to know

You need to get yourself to a doctor and get diagnosed. I've just had my gallbladder removed due to gallstones, they can cause all kinds of problems so get it sorted!

Pancreatic Cancer apparently doesn't hurt until there's enough damage done to cause severe 'silent' Jaundice. The pain you describe is much more likely to be caused by Gallstones. Apple Cider Vinegar is probably only helping because you believe it is. You need to see your Gp.

My dad had untreated gallstones and it was a nightmare tbh. His gallbladder became infected and he had to have it out but was very poorly with it.

The easiest option is to go to the Dr and get it checked.

You're in pain now because gallstones can move around. I had my gallbladder removed a year ago because that happened to me. Not only that, but a stone got stuck and blocked the bile duct causing me to become very unwell (A&E admission) because my liver function was affected, and my gallbladder also became infected (Acute cholecystitis). ACV won't be doing anything. Eating fatty food makes your gallbladder start working (because the gallbladder produces bile that helps digest fat). I was advised to eat a fat-free diet while I waited for surgery, to avoid stimulating the gallbladder and therefore hopefully avoid dislodging more stones. Avoid the fatty foods and go to a doctor asap.

You need to go to the doctor. I managed to grow an enormous (5cm) gallstone with no symptoms whatsoever until I was admitted to hospital with acute cholecystitis. When the gallbladder was removed a couple of months later it was severely infected and miraculously hadn't ruptured. The routine keyhole surgery I was promised didn't go to plan and I was very unwell for a long time and recovery was long and unpleasant to say the least. Had I known about the gallstone (ie had symptoms!) routine keyhole surgery would have been far more likely. Go and get it checked out, they won't go away by themselves and could cause serious problems.
