Pelvic ultrasound

Hello

Tomorrow I am getting an ultrasound of my ladder / pelvic area. Abdominal but possibly vaginal too if the images aren't clear.

I've had problems for 5 years since the birth of my daughter. Physio want to rule out anything else going on.

Any advice? Are they likely to tell me if anything shows up tomorrow or would they more than likely refer me back to my GP to discuss whether everything looked normal etc?

Thanks

I've had a few of those (with the vaginal ones too), for severe periods (I'm 59)

They were able to tell me that nothing bad was shown, and that I had 2 small fibroids - I asked them to let me look at the screen and I asked questions - they may not have offered the "results" otherwise.

I had a follow-up appointment with the doctor who asked for the scans to be done, and I was told in more depth.

The operator was very evasive with me. Said I had a cyst but failed to mention it was 20cm big. Grin. Good luck

Thanks for the replies!

I will ask questions Smile

20cm, wow! That's big! I assume this was removed?

I feel a constant heaviness on my bladder. Everytime I take a step even after emptying my bladder I feel as if I need to go then I just manage a trickle (after trying skin after fully emptying). I also have a pain under my right ribs and just a general heaviness. I had my gallbladder out a few years ago so unsure if that's unconnected or what's going on Hmm
