Failed colonoscopy twice as couldn’t tolerate prep TMI warning

Hi all, any advice? I’ve twice failed to finish colonoscopy prep due to nausea from prep. They’ve tried me on moviprep and now fleet. Even fleet, which is minimal volume, made me gag and then ... on the second dose. I went through the scope today, but they only managed to get through half, before failing to have a clear route. Now they've refereed me for a CT Pnuemocolon, which I thought would solve things, but it also requires prep. Has anyone experience of alternatives for someone who literally cannot swallow the stuff?

Ps this is purely routine, due to family history.

I found mine was more tolerable though still not nice when I mixed it with Roses Lime Cordial.

Can you ask your GP to prescribe you an antiemetic to take before you drink the stuff? And a tranquilliser too to help with your anxiety?

We prescribe Klean prep (although still a high volume) or senna and citramag for those who struggle with the volume of fluid.
Like others have suggested, picolax is a good one.

Whatever you do DO NOT mix Ribena with your prep, you will be sent away, it’s says clearly on the instructions nothing red or black current, it’s the worst thing you can do, you cannot even have red or black jelly babies (the only things I ate during prep).

Only having yellow or green jelly babies added to my torture of prep, I love the red ones!

Thanks BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo. important reminder!

I'm a colonscopy veteran. Picolax is the only tolerable thing. I puke everything else up.
Some types of Fleet go up your bum; it's not the best for a Crohn's/UC sufferer tbh but if needs must, the hospital will do it.

No blackcurrant! It specifically says so in all of the leaflets. No bits, no dyes!
