Tonsil stones

Any one had any luck getting rid of these without having surgery?
I've been having them on and off for years but lately they have gotten so much worse.
I am disgusted with them and so afraid when I'm speaking to people that my breath stinks.
I don't have sore throats or tonsillitis or any sinus problems.
Help!!!!

I'm in completely this position too! Would appreciate some advice.

Same position too Sad. It’s awful. I asked my friends who are (recently qualified) GPs about them, asking what I should do, and they hadn’t even heard of them!

Aren't they just the most disgusting things?
I had them on and off for years, asked my dentist and they had never heard of them!
It would be like growing in the back of my throat eventually it would become dislodged and I'd cough it out. I don't think they operate, I once heard there's a connection with yoghurt/dairy.
I haven't had them for years now but it makes you very self conscious of your breath as they are vile, wished I could be more help. Some people prod them out but I always made myself retch doing this with a cotton bud. It's something no one want to talk about isn't it?

Yes so many dentists and doctors have never heard of them. Its amazing as they seem to be common enough. They are vile. I like them out. I seem to be getting more and more of them. I wish some one had a cure!

My son gets them and gargling salty warm water gets rid of them. His tonsils are full of crevices though so he is just prone to them. I am fascinated by them!!

I used to get them too before I got my tonsils out.

I noticed the connection with them developing faster after a lot of milk or dairy as well.

I had really badly scarred tonsils and got tonsil stones for about three years. Got my tonsils taken out when I was 25 and it was the best thing I could have done.

Recovery was 2 weeks of hell, but now I never get sore throats and don’t get bad breath.

The Sporn-Lover in me misses squeezing out the stones though Blush
