it has been recommended to me as a nappy rash cream. has anyone used it? i've never heard of it before. do boots sell it?

Do you mean Thovaline? It's a good old-fashioned nappy cream; it's what my mother used when my sisters and I were babies.

The GP recommended it to me once for dd, I found it was pretty hard to get hold of but the pharmacy can order it in. I haven't tried it to treat nappy rash though, only as a barrier to prevent it.

It's a nice cream; quite a thick barrier cream with things like lavender oil in it so it smells lovely. I prefer it to Sudocreme and the like. You can use it on minor cuts and scrapes as well, it's very soothing.
