I'm pretty sure its just for over 3yrs but I'm sure I read that some people on here had used it and it was ok.

my pharmacist told me for under the age of one I needed to go to the doctors.

Ceolas · 02/06/2007 08:29

I would ask the pharmacist first.

Nbg · 02/06/2007 08:31

Bugger.

Why do these things happen at a weekend!

They told me it was over 1 when ds3 had conjunctivitus.

Ceolas · 02/06/2007 08:32

I would just use cooled boiled water to clean it atm and phone pharmacy for advice when it opens.

DO you have the stuff already?

belgo · 02/06/2007 08:33

do you know how to wash her eyes?

belgo · 02/06/2007 08:33

I dont have anything in.
Usually we have tons of saline solution because dd was always getting eye infections but we used it all up.

I feel awful because when ds woke from his nap yestetday he wouldnt open his eyes and I just presumed he was very tired and put him straight to bed. We had an awful night and then this morning his left eye is completley shut.

Makes sense now.

I have been told that a very mild solution of Johnsons baby shampoo mixed with water is very effective.
Shame I'm not BF!

baby shampoo? I wouldn't use that.

Cooled boiled water and cotton wool is the best if you don't have saline.

Ceolas · 02/06/2007 08:44

Definitely woudn't put anything apart from water on it right now. Saline if you had it.

Pharmacy will be open soon

Nbg · 02/06/2007 08:45

Yeah, will gove the water a go but he's gone to sleep again poor thing. He's full of cold too.

Will call the Dr's now.

How is he now nbg? Any advice from doc?

macdoodle · 02/06/2007 12:47

Just bath them most are viral anyway - if you are still worried am sure it can wait for your GP on monday - wouldn't bother with the pharmacy my guess they will be less than useless!

Nbg · 02/06/2007 19:48

Hiya, thanks Ceolas

The emergency doc called back and she thought it was hayfever . She did say to take him down to the walk in centre but it looks alot better. Its all opened up and no longer red.
