5 days of non stop headaches

So came on holiday five days ago. Soon as I got here. Agonising headaches begin. Nothing has relieved it yet. I’ve tried ibuprofen ,paracetamol, herbal stuff , antihistamines. I feel like crying. My head feels heavy and I keep wanting to sleep constantly. Really weak too like I have wobbly legs. I have pain when I touch my scalp and just so much pressure I feel like my head will burst open. I’m going back home tomorrow but it’s a long drive ( 9 hours Sad). Any other advice on what I could try?
I have been to pharmacy but they were no help. Only suggested ibuprofen.
Tia

another one wondering how you're doing @TheConstantMoaner

I have migraines - awful
I've had caffeine withdrawal induced migraine - particularly awful
Viral headache three times - wanted to kill someone
Meningitis (twice) - was so bad I couldn't have typed an Op, or functioned on any level.

Just to put your mind at ease re: meningitis

Just a quick update.
My headaches are still the same. Been to gp who has referred me to have an mri. Appointment next Thursday. Painkillers are not touching it. I’m so depressed right now because I can’t get any relief not even for a minute. I’m also really tired all the time. Sleeping non stop. Had enough of this shit.
Gp said I may have fluid on the brain Hmm. Fun times. Sad

Slightly- sounds horrible. How long were your symptoms for ? It’s been already 10 days for me. It’s ridiculous.

The first time I had viral meningitis, I had the headache for about 3 days and was lethargic then in the fourth day, I couldn’t drag myself out of bed. My mum (non panicky type) had a niggling feeling so took me tonight a&e. Lumber puncture confirmed Meningitis. I was in hospital for 3 more days ((still headache) then sent home to be ill there. I reckon I should have been ill for another week at the most, but there was a problem with the number puncture which caused. Spinal fluid leak/brain swell, and I was in the most excruciating pain for 5 weeks - literally couldn’t lift head off pillow.

Second time arose d, I recognised it straight away and was in hospital for four nights. Headache lasted around 10 days in total but felt fragile for a while after that.

So there is a chance it could be that I guess. It’s good that you are getting it seen. BUT even if it is, viral men is relatively straightforward and. Doesn’t carry the danger of bacterial meningitis. Try not to worry.

Relentless headaches are miserable. I sympathise so much.

So sorry for the almost illegible post. Was on my phone, no glasses and getting a pedicure. Hopefully you got the drift!

So sorry you haven't had any respite. How are you now? Is your blood pressure affected in any way? Please let us know how the MRI goes. Hope you find answers soon.
