Sciatica and pelvic pain? Anyone had this? Not pregnant.

I've had sciatic pain for a little over 3 months. Started off just as a shooting pain in hip /leg when I went from sitting to standing, got gradually worse until now it is almost constant. Have seen a GP three times, been referred for physio (had one session and another tomorrow), physio thinks its the piriformis muscle, GP prescribed a nerve drug last week (can't remember the name) but I'm not keen to take it as side effects look horrendous.

Struggle to sleep at night, am taking ibuprofen every day, but bum / hip/ leg pain usually eases during the cause of the morning.

What is worrying me is the CONSTANT accompanying pelvic pain. It's across the lower pelvis (was originally left-sided where sciatica is, now across the whole pelvis). Expressed fears of ovarian cancer last week to GP; he did CA125, came back normal, but pelvic pain continues.

Anyone had this with sciatica? Could it be something else? Endometriosis? (but not painful during period particularly, in fact no period pain last cycle). My bladder also feels a bit achey when I empty it, but not a burning sensation like a urinary infection might hurt.

Any ideas or shared stories welcome! Am planning to return to GP.

Hmmmmm.... as someone who hasn’t suffered with particularly painful/heavy periods. I was shocked when I was diagnosed with endometriosis this year. It’s a possibility and to be honest if the pain is disrupting your life, best to get it investigated.
I had constant left sided pelvic pain which was diagnosed as endometriosis and I had surgery to remove! X

Thanks very much, Kate. Knowing that endometriosis doesn't always come with painful periods is really helpful. I will get it checked out! Thank you for your reply! X
