Sealant on tooth now bite is off

I’ve never had great teeth and as a child had 4 large metal fillings on the bottom and top of both sides of my mouth

I have also always had sensitive teeth but never used a special toothpaste. I was having slight pains on the top and bottom teeth with fillings on my right side which were brought on by eating hot & cold food so presumed I had a gap in my filling

I went to the dentist who x-rayed me and said the top one was fine and the bottom one she drilled out and filled again. She also recommended Colgate sensitive toothpaste

Fast forward a month on while and I was still getting pains in both teeth. Even while eating crisps so I was eating on the other side of my mouth to avoid the pain. It’s not constant and not with everything I eat

So I went back and she coated the chewing surface of both terth with a sealant she set with a UV light. Now home, my bite it totally off. Those are the only teeth that touch when I bite down. She also put the sealant slightly over my top tooth so that it was slightly covering the next tooth (back molar) which I’m guessing was by accident as I had no problems with this tooth. The sealant was only thin here and now a bit has chipped off and it feels a bit sharp

Will the sealant wear off a bit and smooth up eventually like a rough filling would? And my bite settle down again? Very worried

It should go away on its own after one or two weeks. If not, visit your dentist.

Similar think happened to me recently, your bite should settle down in a week or two. If a bit has chipped off I'd go back and get that looked at again though.
