All my teeth ache

I only went to the dentist on Friday because a wisdom tooth is trying to erupt and is sore but dentist said all fine and has stopped hurting. This is on the bottom teeth.

Now. Today. Seems all my top teeth ache, mainly the middle ones. What can cause so many teeth to ache?

Nb: raging health anxiety/ dentist phobia.

I'm really panicking. My bottom teeth hurt now. I'm going away tomorrow. I can feel a panic attack coming. My health anxiety is astronomical particularly having an issue abroad.

I really feel for you but I do think it’s your anxiety making you clench your teeth. This is having a knock on effect on all your teeth including the middle ones.

Your dentist had x-rayed and reassured you. Decay or an ancestor would show on the x-Ray. This thread is split between sinusitis and teeth-clenching as a cause.

Going on holiday is making your anxiety worse maybe?

Sorry abscess not ancestor

Thank you dale. I'm worried because he didn't X-ray all my teeth only the top front ones. So my thought process is spiralling.

What about using some sensitive teeth toothpaste to see if that calms things down? Also make a concerted effort to relax your mouth, jaw, neck etc. Then try to do something engrossing that will take your mind off it.

What normally happens when you feel anxious like this? How do you get through it?

I have this through clenching in my sleep. I have to use the sensitive toothpaste 3 times per day and have a mouthguard from the dentist for sleeping in. By doing all this, it keeps the aching and sensitivity away.

I've taken some paracetamol. My throat's a bit red and temp is ever so slightly elevated so think I'm coming down with something. Great timing.
