Hi
I would like to get my vaccinated with 3 single jabs rather than all in one can anyone recommend where in East Herts / Essex I can get this done privately?
Thanks

These no longer exist. They were proven to provide ineffective immunity and those children/now adults who received the single vaccines when they were available are advised to be re-vaccinated with the triple vaccine MMR to provide adequate protection against the diseases...which are on the increase.

Callmemaybe17 · 24/07/2018 20:57

There is no point to the single vaccines.

Namechangemum100 · 24/07/2018 21:01

I haven't used it myself, but know of a clinic called baby jabs in London that does single vaccines.

3girlmama · 24/07/2018 21:11

@Namechangemum100 I think the single vaccines are no longer used anywhere, even in private clinics, as they're not effective.

dementedpixie · 25/07/2018 20:46

It's not that they weren't effective, there was a supply issue especially with the mumps vaccine. I don't know which ones are available now

dementedpixie · 25/07/2018 20:49

Only the measles one seems to be available now due to the manufacturers not making single mumps and rubella ones any more

missyB1 · 25/07/2018 20:51

You definitely won’t get one for mumps, and will struggle to find anyone willing to give the other two. The measles epidemics are getting too serious for any HCPs to want to risk mucking about with single vaccines.

scaevola · 25/07/2018 20:56

They were and are perfectly effective.

People (born after 1970?) can have the MMR on request because single mumps jabs were never available on NHS, and were only briefly available anyhow. Two doses of a measles containing vaccine is enough to confer good immunity, providing it meets licensing conditions somewhere (licence in UK was never revoked, it was simply not renewed when it expired in 1998) and you are happy that there is a proper logistics chain (storage at right temperature etc) from maunfacturer to clinic.

MumtoAlf · 25/09/2018 07:05

Thank you everyone. Has anyone else done this?

Just get them done in one go, its out the way and done then.

Polidori · 24/11/2018 17:58

Why do you want single jabs?

BrazenFoxed · 27/11/2018 07:32

They were proven to provide ineffective immunity and those children/now adults who received the single vaccines when they were available are advised to be re-vaccinated with the triple vaccine

And your source for this nonsense is...?
