My Mum had an MRI a few weeks ago and phoned up the GP Practice today expecting an 'All fine, no need to see GP' from the receptionist but was told that she should book to see the GP but that there was nothing urgent.
The MRI was for very severe, chronic migraines. She has been having migraines for 30 years but the GP is not keen to keep prescribing triptans so wanted her to have the MRI. Also my Mum's grandmother died from an aneurysm at 60 (my Mum's age) so it made sense to get it checked.
Does the fact that the GP needs to see my Mum mean that they have found something?
