Can I get a handhold please?

I'm a little afraid and probably should step away from the internet. Im exhausted. I have heavy feeling and pain low in my stomach, 7lb weight gain in last 4-6 weeks, seemingly all on my stomach and I now look six months pregnant, hell I FEEL six months pregnant, like everything has been pushed up to under my ribs. Except a million negative home pregnancy tests say Im not. I get up to pee three times a night and get random shooting pains in my cervix. So i went to GP who was very nice, didnt actually say much of anything except confirmed there was no urine infection, asked about childbirth injuries (last birth was almost 8 years ago) sent me for a raft of blood tests on Monday and referred me for an urgent ultrasound. I went mostly because of all the threads I've read on here ( I've namechanged and been here a good ten years) and knew it probably should be checked out and I think I expected to hear, I was over reacting, its probably menopause or maybe irritable bowel or something benine; come back in six months if you're still feeling shite sort of thing but doctor nodded at my distention, asked loads of questions had a feel of my tummy and determined an urgent ultrasound was required. I keep telling myself if it was serious, he would have sent me somewhere straight away - I'm hoping he's just being cautious. Really really hoping. Anyone else had similar and it wasn't serious? I could really use a handhold and some possible alternatives Sad

Thank you.

I'm worried as to what to do if the scan is fine Confused.

Tiredandafraid · 18/06/2018 17:11

@Ickyockycocky thank you! Its really great to hear a happy ending. I think it gets lost in the brain fog of waiting, well it does for me anyway.

@YearOfYouRemember you know, I can understand that. I really do - something like, if they find something they can treat it but if they dont.. its just more worry and more waiting for more tests?

I probably should find something else to do. I'm not doing well mentally today which for me makes everything else seem worse.

This time last year I was where you are now, luckily nothing overly scary was found. This year I'm waiting for a mole to be removed and sent for biopsy. It's definitely the waiting that's worst

Had my scan and have a fibroid and maybe a polyp. Nothing dodgy!! Grin

Hysteroscopy next Thursday.

How did the other scans go?

Tiredandafraid · 20/06/2018 22:09

That's really great news @intuition. Thanks for coming back to share it. Fingers crossed for the hysteroscopy too!

I had exact same symptoms - even took pregnancy tests as well.
My gp sent me for an ultra sound and whilst I was waiting for the appointment I was driving myself crazy convincing myself I had ovarian cancer (I don't mean for that to come a across as insensitive, but I hope you know what I mean ).
However it turned out to be just a cyst. Apparently they're really quite common.
So try not to worry , it could just be a cyst.

KneesupGaston · 20/06/2018 22:25

I had similar and it turned out to be a dermoid cyst. I did lose my ovary and tube but turns out they weren't entirely necessary anyway! Good luck!

Tiredandafraid · 22/06/2018 20:03

Thanks for the positive stories, both. Of course you're right - it probably is just something and nothing or maybe a cyst or something else equally very non scary :) waiting really does suck.

How are you doing @YearOfYouRemember?

Hi Tired, I had my scan on Wednesday. Waiting now for results. Sonographer gave nothing away. Been feeling a bit sick in my stomach with weird pains.

How's things with you? Have you had your scan?

TwitterQueen1 · 25/06/2018 17:51

How was the scan OP? Did you get any feedback?
