I had blood in poo a few years ago
Lived with it for a while till I was scared enough to go to the doctor
Had a colonoscopy two years ago
Hemarroids were noted
But since then the bleeding has been there pretty much all the time give or take a few days every now n then
Shud I be worried?
It's only when I poop
Never just any other time or just in underwear
I'm also low in iron
Can hemarriods last this long?
Please help a worried momma

Bleeding from the anus should always be checked out. I recently spent 2 days in hospital and have just had a colonoscopy to check it out. See your gp on Monday.

If your haemorrhoids were not treated at the time of your diagnosis, then they will still be there. Usually they would be treated by banding, injection, or surgical haemorrhoidectomy. They can also recur after treatment, particularly if you have subsequent constipation or pregnancies. Bleeding haemorrhoids are a common cause of anaemia, too. However, rectal bleeding should always be investigated, as having piles doesn’t exclude also having bowel cancer.
See your GP and get a proper assessment and diagnosis.

Thank you both for yr reply
I never suffer from constipation
I'm very regular
Hemarroids were not treated as they r internal and it would mean banding that I'm not so comfy to have done
I do think it's somewhat related to spicy food
I'm Asian n can't really avoid it
I will make an appointment tomorrow to get checked out again
I hope this time I will be offered a full colonoscopy as last time I was just given the half one
