Hairy Chops.....and female!!

As the title suggests, I'm on about facial hair in women.

Anyone else suffer this embarrassing and general pain in the arse condition?

I was fine (until kids/weight gain). I know that weight + hormones = imbalance and androgens kicking in, but I wondered how many of you had/have this and lost weight and have seen an improvement?

My hair is chin and upper lip with a few stragglers lurking in moles and on cheek (if it were just those I'd be happy just to pluck but the amount I get now is just really bothering me.

I have had laser treatment (and it worsened Confused).
Apparently this can happen if the laser strength isn't right (high enough) but was told equally I was on a high laser! Needless to say I have stopped through fear of looking like chewbacca!!

Has anyone experience good results through electrolysis? I've heard it can be painful but is the only true way of getting the little bastards out. I'm sorely tempted to get shot of the goatie!!

Shaving can leave those little black dots, and I ain't growing it to wax it (to shameful - for me anyway).

Please let me know if any successful treatments, homeopathic remedies, diets that actually work for this problem or any advice really......other than telling me to keep the beard 🧔

Thank you xx

Also, I've had bloods done to rule out health concerns (kidney tumours etc) and thankfully these buggers are not being caused by anything nasty!! 🙌🏻 , and that didn't even show an imbalance. General monthly's all normal too. So I am lost!!

Yes, and I had it when I was a size 8 too, so do not think it is necessarily size related. I have had electrolysis for years but lots of practitioners just do not like turning the current up too high and it can therefore make it worse as they are literally plucking them out. So you need to find a practitioner that really wants to help you sort the problem and is not just interested in repeat business.

Not sure of any treatments that actually help other than maybe some sort of hormone treatments but they would cause other problems. There is a cream, which is very expensive, and therefore not prescribed very frequently Vaniqa but that just slows the growth down and is not a permanent solution. Generic versions may be available cheaper soon.

Waiting for miracles!

Did any of the practitioners have your interests at heart and did you find it improved?

Yes. Hurry up and find a perm at fix for this! 😤
