Waking up with sunrise / blackout

Hello,

My partner needs to wake up with sunlight (artificial lights don't cut it) or feels dreadful and I need total blackout to sleep (so that I can't even see the wall on the other side of the room).

We've tried putting up a blackout blind and having me remove it when I get up to let the sunlight in, but that doesn't work for my partner (the morning sunlight is needed for much longer before waking up)

Apart from sleeping in seperate rooms does anyone have any ideas for solutions?

Have tried eye masks but they normally shift before sunrise and let light in around the nose bridge.

Thanks

Do you get up at very different time? If not would one of those clocks work that gradually lightens the room before a specific time?

(I’m thinking this would eliminate light hours before you need to actually wake up!!)

Oh just re read your OP, sorry, no artificial lights!

OP, I used to be like that too but got used to the light. Any change of that?
