How much milk for DD (5) and DS (2)

I commented yesterday to my sis and BIL about my kids had drank quite alot of milk. In total they had drank about 1 pint (semi skimmed) each which is alot compared to how much milk they usually have. He then went rambling on how too much milk is unhealthy for kids and they can get too much calcium. In fact he was suprised that I didn't know that the milk on their breakfast cereal is 3/4 of their daily allowance! I personally don't believe him, anyone else know who is right? How much milk can my kids drink? He is basically a Mr-Know-It-All and of course is never ever wrong!

I'd go out of my way to give my kids extra milk in fron of him tbh. Never heard too much being unhealthy. My ds got milk in school, milk in his cereal and cheese yoghurts etc at that age.

Far better than too much fizzy stuff or even too much juice IMO Kid. I would buy organic though if they're drinking that much - loads of antibiotics in non-organic milk.

it's about 3 cups for a toddler. I've started measuring that out first thing in the morning (obsessed! but dd is a little one) and if she's not having it all by the end of the day I make sure she has more yogurt/cheese/etc to bring her up to the full serving she should be having.
Have never heard of them having 'too' much milk!!

I didn't think they could have too much milk!
BIL law is a bit immature, he likes to put his DS (21 months) in the sun so he can look healthy with a tan! He is also pretty obsessed that his child musn't be over weight.

Well i thought drinking lots of milk was a good thing.
My Dd's (6&4), have milkshake in the morning and hot chocolate at night, plus milk on their cereal.
Ds (20mths), has an 8oz bottle of milk in the morning and the same again at night.
