Baby has been sick in her sleep, and worried now to go to bed myself

dd, 15 months vomited after tea, and again after bath and again as I put her down to bed. Washed and changed her and bedding and she went out like a light. Just thinking of heading to bed and checked on her and she's been sick again in her cot but is fast asleep.

Worried because:
We sleep one floor down and monitor not working - will she choke on her vomit if she;s sick in night?

Less crucial, do I wake her to change her bedding - bearing in mind I've run out of sleeping bags and she's sleeping soundly...

Poor lamb. She's due chickenpox any day now as we were with friends who had it over bank hol weekend. Wonder if this is something to do with it?

I see I've been beaten to it with the towel suggestion Complete lifesaver when ds was a baby, he vomited every time he coughed, which was a lot. I think you might get more sleep on the floor of the next room than in your own bed if you're worried. Good luck!

@carrie
poor you, and poor DD. Hope she sleeps alright. I did the towel thing too with DD (I remember one time when I was pregnant with DS and had terrible morning-noon-and-night-sickness. bleaugh!)

@Lucykate
sorry, but I laughed at the story of your handbag full of puke. double yuk!

tortoiseSHELL · 16/05/2007 08:46

how was your night? Hope you got some sleep and dd is a bit better.

Hope you night was ok

If she does get chickenpox, may I recommend Calamine Cream and not the Lotion for itching spots?

The lotion dries like a face pack and dd1 said her face was 'itchy' - and her face was white which was a complete no no

the cream rubs in and moisturises at the same time

on prescription or over the counter

xx

Ooh, wish I'd known about calamine cream. DS had the worst c pox I'd ever seen two months ago, he is still covered in marks. The lotion was pretty crap.
