My sons allergic reaction is catching?!

Hi so I was hoping someone might have some ideas about the cause of my sons rash. He's had a head to toe rash since last Friday (now 5 days) and it's finally disappearing. I took him to the doctors and was told it was probably an allergic reaction to the strawberries I gave him and it should die down... only 3 days after I 'caught' it. Head to toe covered in these little red dots, which was a really great look going to a job interview. I'm just so confused to what it could be.. are we contagious? Am I weirdly having an allergic reaction too? It's just so much more unsettling for an adult to get a full body rash, I haven't had once since chicken pox when I was 6.
Any ideas would be fully appreciated! Smile

Probably something viral, rather than an allergic reaction if it's catching! Back to the GP you go.

Have you been unwell otherwise, either of you?

Perhaps it's a bonkers viral rash? I'd go back to the GP.

Did you give your child Pirton or similar and did that alter the rash?

A viral rash? I had never heard of that but that does sound like what it must be.

No we've both been absolutely fine other then this massive rash, no cold symptoms, high temps or lack of appetite. It's a really strange one.

I've seen kids with no other symptoms but a viral rash, so I don't see why a grown up can't catch it too. Would get it checked though.
