Do doctors offer these in the uk and has anyone had one?

Sorry, can't help really but I've only ever heard of doctors prescribing iron tablets.

I'm not sure what you mean by iron drips - can you explain please?

Iron tablets I know you can get and blood transfusions for extreme anaemia.

Try drinking Spatone water - iron rich water supplement. Much nicer than the iron tablets. You can buy it from health food shops.

I guess that answers my questions! I mean iron infusions- a saline drip with liquid iron in it. I have such severe anaemia that I have been having these drips. So far I have had about 20 in the space of 6 months. It's a new treatment here and I was wondering if anyone has had it, what the views on its safety/ long-term side effects are thought to be in the UK.
