Have had it months and months, never got to grips with it - it didn't actually make it out of its bag the last 2 months. But I got caught short so to speak late on Sunday night and tried again - and this time I have obviously acquired the knack and it has worked like a dream.

Just thought I'd share .

mine is a right faff and I can't get it in far enough most of the time

when it is in it is great

but I usually abandon it after a day

and yes I have cut the damn stem off

mrsflowerpot · 11/05/2007 18:31

I think the bigger Boots do BOB.

bootsa do them and loads of the cloth nappy companies sell them in the mom section.

haven't had a period yet since i heard about them but am sadly excited about trying it!

eachpeachnallyplum · 11/05/2007 18:33

my prob with my mooncup is that its great for the first few days. fits nicely, no discomfort. but as it gets towards the end it starts feeling all scratchy and i end up using alternative products.

wildwoman · 11/05/2007 18:34

I have been looking at the mooncup and am a bit that I would need the biggest size, makes me feel like a bit of a "goer" iyswim

twinkleinthesky · 11/05/2007 18:39

I find that my mooncup is not so good during my really heavy days (am really heavy) but fantastic the rest of the time. Has still saved me a fortune in tampons.

LOL Mrsflowerpot at your DH refusing to listen to any sentence with mooncup in!!!

pamplemousse · 11/05/2007 21:36

Good to hear sucess I hate mine, it always feels massive and uncomfortable. Was pg and haven't got periods back yet (hurrah!!) but might give it another whirl, although that sounds ouchy!

FrannyandZooey · 11/05/2007 21:38

Wildwoman I have sold many many mooncups on here and only 3 have been the smaller size, so you are in good company

MrsWednesday · 11/05/2007 21:39

Got any good tips to pass on? Still struggling with mine too and I've had it for ages.

My DH also doesn't want to hear a word about mooncups either! He practically puts his fingers in his ears if I mention it.

SimplySparkling · 11/05/2007 21:44

I have days when I have to work hard not to completely forget that it is there and one day or so a month or so when it is uncomfortable and I wish it wasn't there. I don't know what I do that makes a difference but I am very glad I have it. It has saved me lots of money already. Thanks again to F&Z for organising it. They sell them in some health/environment type shops too. Homeopathic type places. They don't have them in my local Boots.

Tatties · 11/05/2007 21:55

Pleased to hear it mrsflowerpot

I don't know what to say to those who are struggling... other than lots of practice. I've been using mine for ages now but still get it wrong occasionally
