Since last summer I’ve had a constant sensation like I’m on a boat. It’s worse some days than others but it’s always there. Even just lying in bed makes me feel like there are waves beneath me and I’m bobbing up and down. It’s driving me mad! I have had loads of tests done at the hospital (pretty much every blood test you can think of, brain, neck and spine MRI and my ears and eyes checked). Could it be anxiety that’s causing it? I do things like meditation, exercise and deep breathing and I try to get a decent amount of sleep each night. I don’t drink or smoke and I have lots of water and a healthy diet. It’s a catch 22 because the feeling makes me
Feel anxious which probably in turn makes the feeling worse.
It could be something like vertigo or some sort of balance disorder but I don’t get the spins.
I get stressed out going anywhere in public incase it gets bad. Has anyone experienced anything like this and managed to cure it? I want to avoid going on anxiety medication but if it’s the only option then i’d do it

Could it be BPPV? I've had that a few times. It's when little tiny deposits get stuck in your inner ear canal. No treatment, and diagnosed by description of the symptoms, there's no external signs. Only thing is, I usually get the spins which you said you don't get.

Does it happen when you look up, or if you roll over in bed? Or say if you tried looking under the sofa?

Did you get sorted with this? I have exactly the same.
Thanks

Bumping this. I have been suffering from this since august and it is driving me insane. It all began after I began suffering severe panic attacks, and has never gone away since. I’ve been diagnosed with a panic disorder and have most of it under control, but this is the last “symptom” (if it truly is anxiety and stress related) that I cannot get to stop. Can anyone update if they can please? I’m off to see an ENT once I’m referred to try and get some answers.

Same here, saw an ENT doc who did Epley maneuver which worked but sadly it.s come back. He diagnosed it by getting me to do lots of little things like walk on the spot with eyes closed and watching my eyes when turning my head ( lying down )

I get really cross when doctors tell you its just anxiety. I was told that for several consults and it turned out I DID have a heart problem

@Purplerain101 Did you ever figure this out? I'm currently going through the same thing!
