Hi,
Wanted some advice. Am about to take up jogging (again!) and feeling really motivated. Also we're trying for our third baby. Does anyone know if jogging can affect fertility and/or increase chances of miscarriage? Don't want to do any exercise that might make it difficult to become pregnant and stay pregnant, but equally don't want to put my life on hold waiting for that elusive BFP! Incidently both previous pregnancies uncomplicated but had a miscarriage in Feb at five weeks (although I wasn't running at those times).
Haven't run for years and I'm really unfit, but have got some friends starting and want to join them. Please don't suggest swimming instead, it's running or nothing I'm afraid! Thanks.

Apparently it is not advisable to start anew exercise program while pg, but if it is something you do anyway there is no reason to stop while ttc, or in early pg. When you conceive your MW will be able to advise when would be sensible to stop.

Sounds like a very good idea. It was used as a succesful treatment for infertility caused by PCOS by an Australian doctor. Reduced stress levels, gets you fitter. It should increase your chances, not reduce them.
