Gallstones/IBS/Fatty Liver? Help?

OK - I have Gall stones and a fatty liver - I've had IBS for over 20 years

I have an appalling diet - mainly meat and root veggies as nothing else reduces the IBS - I have an abnormally fast transit time (official diagnosis)

Virtually dairy free, egg free, fruit and green veg free, soya free

Pretty low fat (apart from meat but 70% of meat is skinless chicken)

I am also deficient in Vit D, B12, Zinc, Iron and folate - since supplementing with these my IBS has reduced from 12-15 times a day to about 6-8

So if I just have my gall bladder out - how will everything else be effected and how can I minimise any worse side effects

Might not make any difference.

I cured my fatty liver by going low carb high fat.

I am back on low carb high fat after having my gallbladder out.

They don’t advise (well the NICE guidance, some doctors are out of date) low fat for gallstones unless high fat triggers an attack. It’s different for different people. Many people find a Lchf diet helps keeps attack’s at bay, certainly did for me!

that is fascinating!

i found [https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC432344 this] which seems to connect it with vitamin D
& [https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/21804402/ this] which again implies a connection with B12

I am actually fitter and more active than I have been in decades with the supplementation regime I am on

So I'm massively confused!!

& the high fat diet thing is a nightmare - I have to minimise my fat because of my IBS
