What does it mean when your 15 month old has a yellow tooth?

Just noticed my 15 month old has a yellow tooth and am very concerned about it, she doesnt have any sweets or fruit juices just milk and water, veg etc.. Why has she got this? Any ideas?

A couple of days ago her elder sibling wacked her in the face with a toy brick - not meaning to harm her just by accident but managed to chip her front tooth and leave a nasty bruise on her cheek, would this be connected?

I do brush their teeth every day.

I am no expert but something similar happened to my nephew and he had to get an xray to check the root of the tooth in case it had been damaged. It was okay but I would get her to the dentist asap.

My ds's front teeth all came in yellowish. the enamel didn't form properly and it's the, er, stuff inside that's showing. the dentish said that it's nothing to worry about. just keep brushing as normal. could be that maybe??

If all her teeth are yellow, I wouldn't be concerned - all my side of the family have naturally yellow teeth. If it's just one & it's just turned yellow I'd get it checked out.

Oh gosh! Really hercules1, she hasn't got a dentist so I will have to register her with one.

Purplemonkeydishwasher all her other teeth are white as white, this one has a white tip but the rest has gone a yellow like she's been smoking 40 a day, does this sound familiar?

thank you btw

dd2 fell against a coffee table when she was a toddler and wacked one of her front teeth. It was a bit crocked and turned yellow. I took her to the dentist and he said that it wasn't unusual after a wack, it could affect how the adult tooth grows behind it, but we won't know until she loses it. She's 5.5 now, but still not lost any teeth, so I don't know how the adult tooth will be. I don't think you need to worry. It is a shame though, my dd has looked a little 'odd' since, but it is one of her two front teeth, so very noticeable.
