Is there a way of researching a G.P?

Hi, I'm trying to find a mental health friendly Dr for my 15 yr old son who has been diagnosed with depression.
I am not happy with the G.P's at my own surgery and would like to try and find someone who perhaps has more of an interest/specialises in this area. I know it may be a long shot, there may not be anyone but I'm just wondering if there is any way of finding out.
I found out by accident that one of the Dr's at our surgery had a background in dermatology. this was after going back and forth trying to get a referral for my poor daughter's acne. He was meant to be her GP as well but he was really popular and we could never see him!

If you go onto the practice website of any surgery it should list each individual doctor and their particular interests and specialities.

As pp said usually there is a little write up on each Dr on the website which should list their particular area of interest.

Thanks, so far I have only found this to be the case of one surgery in our area, the others give very little information, just a name and a photo. This is why I'm finding it hard but I will carry on thanks, I thought there may be a short cut.

You could speak to the practice manager or the senior GP, they will know.

The receptionists may well know. Try calling in the afternoon to ask.
